Hello!
My name is Jessamy and I am the creative soul behind Kiwi Kete.
Kiwi kete was born of a love for beautiful things. I believe that the ceremony we give things emphasises the importance of it. For that reason I have always sought to create beauty in everything I do. When we take that time to breathe slowly, give pause, and remember why something is important to us, that immediately creates intention in our choices and actions.
Our intention creates our connection.
In te reo Māori, the language of the Indigenous people of New Zealand, the word ‘kete’ refers to a basket — a container for what matters. It might carry knowledge, kai, or carefully gathered resources to be shared.
At Kiwi Kete, that idea sits at the heart of everything we do. Each resource, activity, or gift kit is a modern kind of kete — filled with creativity, connection, and love.
Our printables are made for real life in Aotearoa — for kaiako who want thoughtful classroom tools, for whānau who love to learn and play together, and for anyone who enjoys giving beautiful, personal gifts made by hand.
And while our kits are inspired by life in New Zealand, we also offer international versions of many resources — so that anyone, anywhere in the world, can share in the joy of creating, learning, and gifting with care.
Every kete is woven from my background in educational psychology, teaching and parenting to create beautiful and effective resources that draw on evidence based practice and the latest research.
Lovingly crafted into a printable that invites you to slow down, make something meaningful, and share it with others — a reminder that the best learning and the best gifts are woven with heart.
